"No one has ever explained it to me like that before!" I love when a patient says that to me. I am passionate about helping people understand the complex biological pathways happening inside their bodies and then giving them the tools they need to live healthier lives. My affiliation with MDVIP allows me to have more time to educate, but also to get to know my patients as friends rather than as collections of medical problems. I believe that a close, trusting relationship between doctor and patient is the bedrock of primary care and an essential part of illness prevention. My MDVIP-affiliated practice, often compared to a concierge medicine practice, offers conveniences like same- or next-day appointments. I also believe that you need to practice what you preach, so I try to lead by example by making physical fitness and a healthy diet a priority in my own life.
My personalized family medicine practice is located in Midlothian, Virginia. I serve patients from the Greater Richmond area and the surrounding counties of Chesterfield, Powhatan, Amelia, Goochland and Henrico. I am a member of the medical staff at Chippenham and Johnston-Willis Hospitals, and I also visit nearby Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center. I have particular interests in cardiovascular health, diabetes care, behavioral health and preventive medicine.
