As MDVIP’s Chief Information Officer, Don draws on his rich, 20-year career as a seasoned healthcare services technology executive building and leading world-class IT teams.

At MDVIP, Don leads a team of technology innovators who deliver MDVIP's metrics and goals and support the company’s affiliated primary care physicians and patients.
Don has a wealth of experience from previous roles in IT and healthcare companies, where he delivered complex, customer-centric IT solutions and directed large-scale change initiatives. He founded MicroStar Computers, held several CIO appointments and was a highly sought-after technology consultant providing enterprise-wide support to national real estate and healthcare franchises as well as global IT leadership.
Prior to MDVIP, Don was CIO for Clarient Inc., a GE healthcare company specializing in cancer and molecular diagnostics and research. He also served as Executive Vice President and CIO for Insight Health Corp., with responsibility for a proprietary imaging information system and software integration to multiple electronic healthcare platforms and hospital information systems. He has also completed global data warehouse projects and deployment of a worldwide customer relationship management system for Quest Software (now owned by Dell).
Don received a B.A. in chemistry from Southern Illinois University, where he also completed master’s degree coursework in electronic and electrical engineering and computer science.
Don reads technology books for fun and enjoys scuba diving, golfing and spending time with his family.
