I had a minor stroke and was in the hospital for 4 days. My daughters came down to take care of me (one from Seattle the other from Chicago). About a week after I was home we were all outside on the patio when a car pulled up that I didn't know and out stepped Dr Sutherland. She said that she just wanted to check up on me and see how I was doing and see if I needed anything. She stayed and visited for about 45 minutes getting to know the daughters. That visit meant more to me than I can ever express in words. Who ever heard of a Doctor making house calls these days? She cares more for her patients than any Doctor I can remember. I appreciate Dr Veronica Sutherland more than I can ever say in words and I will always be a patient of hers as long as she will have me.

For a few years, I had been bouncing from doctor to doctor because I knew something wasn't quite right with my heart. I felt something was off but every doctor I saw told me I was stressed out and needed to relax more. I am a busy working mom and even so, knew there was more. I scheduled an appt with Dr Sutherland and arrived early, as I usually do. I didn't realize or was told that I was an hour early AND she was running late. By the time I got into the exam room, I was furious enough that the MA told me she'd recheck my blood pressure in a bit. Dr Sutherland came in and told me that she would always run late. She spends more time with her patients than other doctors and it's up to me if I want to deal with her schedule. Well, after that, she listened to my heart, heard it pause for a moment and the rest is history. I was referred to a cardiologist, got a pacemaker and am doing much better. I decided that she was the doctor for me because she told me strait that I had to adapt to her schedule and that she is the one that will listent to me as a patient. I most often schedule to see her first thing in the morning, which has taken care of a lot of the "lateness". I am excited now for her to be with MDVIP, so that she can actually give the patients the time she wants to and the time we as patients deserve. She has been my doctor since 2016 and I wouldn't have it any other way.

As a primary care physician, I am committed to the well-being of my patients. I believe in the power of preventive health measures to help enhance lives. My philosophy centers on a proactive approach to healthcare, education and personalized care.

By building stronger doctor-patient relationships, I strive to create a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and participating in their healthcare journey.

Through comprehensive screenings and having more time to spend with patients, I can work with them to develop unique action plans as they pursue their health goals. My MDVIP-affiliated practice offers services, including comprehensive, advanced health screenings and diagnostic tests, that go far beyond those found in concierge medicine practices.

Ultimately, my goal is not only to review illness, but foster partnerships with patients and support them as they work to improve their health.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

Dr.Sutherland is medically knowledgeable and well connected to local resources. But most important she listens to you and respects how you feel . She does not judge you and respects your opinion. Her demeaner is kind and warm, she can make you feel better just walking in the room.
