My approach to wellness is to nourish mind, body and soul. Mind and soul come first, because without this, you may not be motivated to take care of your body. Having a healthy relationship with yourself is primary, then healthy relationships with friends and family come naturally. I am a big proponent of healthy eating in the form of a whole-foods diet, along with a regular exercise routine to keep your body strong and to help you stay focused in life.
If you are looking for a primary care physician who understands the importance of a close doctor-patient relationship, then you found her. As a family physician, I want to know my patients personally, not just medically. We can work together to create personalized health goals for you, and I can help guide you to achieving them. I see patients of all ages and multiple generations of the same family. It gives me more insight into who you are and allows me to help give you more personalized care. My MDVIP-affiliated practice specializes in women’s health, chronic disease management, osteopathic manipulation, pediatrics and immunizations. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

Dr Ridge took over Dr Alters practice. Of course I didn't think that Dr Alter could be replaced. I will never forget the relationship that Dr. Alter and I had. Dr. Ridge gives her medical advice after listening carefully to her patients. She noticed an irregularity with some of my husband's blood work and scheduled some more testing. The result was referral to a heart doctor, within about 10 days, he had three stents placed. We feel her skills probably saved his life!
