As a second generation family medicine physician, I have experienced the power of personal relationships in medical care all of my life. While my education at Vanderbilt set my knowledge base and trained me to be exceptionally thorough, it is the past 30 years of working closely with patients that has helped me experience the joys of positive interaction to help improve the quality of people’s lives. More specifically, I have been able to accomplish this through personalized healthcare, I have a reduced practice size which has allowed me to put my patients first with the time to listen, respond, educate and advocate. Similar to concierge medicine practices, I also offer conveniences like same- or next-day appointments that start on time.
I am one of a few primary care physicians in the greater Atlanta area of Georgia who offers this personal approach to healthcare. My private practice, located in Alpharetta, serves the Woodstock, Canton, Milton, Roswell, and John’s Creek areas. I am an active staff member at both North Fulton Regional Hospital and Northside Hospital at the Perimeter.
Because of my specialized training, I manage middle-to-late childhood, adolescent and adult patients. I have an ongoing interest in the primary prevention of diabetes and heart disease through nutrition and weight management. In addition, I am a strong proponent of exploring the scientific basis for the mind-body connection in medicine. I speak fluent English and German languages.
