I recently was diagnosed with throat and tonsil cancer. Its 100% curable and treatable but because of this program, Dr Fusco got me immediately into the ENT guys at Greenwich Hospital who then put me in touch with the surgeons at Yale New Haven. 2 CT scans, a pet scan, an MRI and a biopsy later (all within a month mind you), the exact diagnosis was correct and we started my 7-week regimen of radiation 5x a week and chemo once a week. I already feel the malignant mass shrinking and chewing, drinking, eating and swallowing is less painful. I have absolute faith in the professionals spearheading my treatment but what has been most impressive to me is Dr Fusco's constant, weekly follow ups...not asking how I'm doing, but reviewing my charts and all the other doctors' notes in layman terms! Thanks Doc!

My goal as your personal doctor is to partner with you to create a personalized healthcare plan to treat your current health problems and help prevent new ones. I understand and celebrate that internal medicine patients have specific medical needs and desire a unique path to improved health. I will work with you at each step to assist you with making informed decisions toward achieving your goals – whether it's losing weight, running your first marathon, improving your nutrition or reducing the use of medications when possible.

As one of the few remaining internists in this area who will follow you during any hospital stay in Stamford or Greenwich Hospitals, I am now offering a more personalized healthcare approach that allows me to get to know each of my patients beyond their immediate needs. My MDVIP-affiliated, primary care practices are located in Stamford, Connecticut and Port Chester, New York. We focus on integrative health and preventive care in addition to all aspects of internal medicine. I am affiliated with Stamford and Greenwich Hospitals and am fluent in English and Italian languages. With almost 30 years of practicing in the community, I have relationships with many specialists to help you with your unique needs. I may be your internal medicine doctor, but I also have interests in cardiovascular health, diabetes, hypertension and preventive medicine. I see patients from New Rochelle, New York to Norwalk, Connecticut.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
