Dr. Franklin is a very compassionate and caring doctor when it comes to his patients. He gives his patients 100% of himself when you re in his office , doing a virtual visit or on the phone talking with him . You asked for a specific event that I am grateful for that I have him as my Primary Physician, There are to many to go into but 2 come foremost in my mind. The first one occurred just shortly after I lost my husband and I was having difficulty breathing. When I called him he told me to go to the ER. I at first was to afraid to go but he calmly talked me into going. Where I found out I had CHF and he may have saved my life. The second time was when I was having a melt down after loosing my husband as it was around the holidays And was always such a special time for us. Again Dr. Franklin talked to me for a very long time and got me through this rough time with 3 words " Faith, Strength & Family." There has been a couple more of these meltdowns but in remembering those 3 words I have been able to handle them for which I will always be grateful to him. The last thing is that at the end of an office visit , virtual visit or phone call he Alwasy ends with "I'll be here for you" And I can say that he is just that kind of dedicated doctor.

I was a patient of Dr. Franklin before he moved to MDVIP, and his standard practice was very good, and very much what I had become accustom to experiencing... a month or two to get an appointment; 45 to 60 minute wait; other health workers doing things; and maybe 10 minutes with the doctor where he tells you to lose weight and get more exercise. After he migrated to MDVIP, it was amazing! I got an appointment when I wanted/needed it, including many the same day. All of my lab work went to the best clinics including the Mayo Clinic and the Cleveland Clinic, then the most amazing thing ever. My physical was 90 minutes with Dr. Franklin who thoroughly went over all of the lab work, took time to talk about the mostly useless supplements I was taking, discussing the most probable threats to my life and health and what we should be doing to mitigate the risks, and considerable discussion of my situation with life stressors and any concerns with mental health issues. I left feeling confident that my doctor had a holistic approach to my overall health and we had a strategy to improve even those things that were in the 'normal' range. Never before have I had such an in-depth understanding of my health status, risks, and actions I needed to do to improve. Dr. Franklin was always an excellent physician and I believe that MDVIP has freed him to treat his patients the way he always wanted to.

My practice is about putting "health" back in health care. It's really about partnering with patients, developing a wellness plan and making the necessary changes to prevent chronic illness, diabetes, cancer and heart disease. The intimacy of my MDVIP-affiliated practice allows me to really get to know my patients and be there for them 24/7. It's a win-win situation for both physicians and patients; it's a relationship that is very empowering for patients and rewarding to families alike.

Most MDVIP-affiliated primary care practices accept insurance (your physician can tell you whether they accept your specific insurance plan). Your annual fee pays for preventive care medical services that insurance usually doesn’t cover (e.g., advanced diagnostic testing and screenings). Your MDVIP-affiliated physician will continue to bill your insurance and charge copays, co-insurances and deductibles as he or she currently does for other medical services like sick visits.

MDVIP makes wellness and prevention easier by providing your physician with innovative tools and technology. MDVIP supports your physician’s practice and seeks to eliminate barriers to a positive healthcare experience. Your doctor will determine whether and how to incorporate these tools at his/her discretion.
