When the student is ready the teacher will appear.

If I had been asked in the summer of 2023, I could have listed the major symotoms of heart disease. I have no reasonalble explanation for my failure to recognize and react appropriately when I personally experienced clear and painful symptoms. I did not call 911. I finally did call Dr. Welch who told me to hang up and call an ambulance immediately! What was I thinking? After my admittance to the ER I spent four days at Piedmont ICu and another two days in the hospital during which I was seen by numerous specialists and the subject of many tests. My experience has been that these highly intelligent specialists speak a foreign language for which Dr. Welch was able to act as interpreter. With his soft voice and gentle manor he appeared at my bedside every morning to explain to me what the previous day's proceedures had determined. I continue to be grateful for the care I receive from my Piedmont Physicians as I learn to live my best life recovering from heart disease.
