You are an exemplary physician!!!

Dr. Erlaine Bello is, in my opinion, the best physician one could ever have. I came to know Dr. Bello while working at the Queen's Medical Center. At the time, I felt that she wasn't very friendly, hardly smiled and not approachable. However, when I was referred to her by my internist for an infectious disease consult, I saw another side of her and my impression of her was totally the opposite. As the saying goes, never judge on first impressions.. I found her to be highly intelligent, easy to communicate with and the level of care I received was exemplary. She gave me the right advice to improve my health and well-being, making me a healthier person at 70+ years of age and it does not stop there! When she told me that she will be joining MDVIP I thought now who do I go to now? However, I did not have to go far because she said that she will continue to follow me, Whew, what a blessing! Then my internist informed me that she will be leaving her practice - now what do I do? I attended one of Dr. Bello's informative sessions regarding MDVIP and one of her walking exercise group and that was it. I knew she was the one for me. I approached her after our walking exercise and said, I know you won't be taking all of your patients into your new practice, and that you may have already exceeded your patient load. However, will you please consider me as a new patient since you are still my Infectious Disease Consultant? She looked at me and I really thought she was going to deny my request. I was praying so hard that I would be receiving a positive answer. Low and behold my prayer was answered. She said yes! I am so blessed. Words cannot express how much I appreciate Dr. Bello. She is a totally awesome physician, who says it like it is and I appreciate that. She is very truthful, very caring and her examinations are ever so thorough. She does not miss a beat; not one to see you for 5 minutes or less and you are out the door. Dr. Bello, I pray that you will not be retiring while I'm still on this earth. I don't know what I will do then. I have not come across a physician who is more caring than you are and one who puts patient care in the fore front. You are an exemplary physician!!! I don't want you to ever leave as long as I am alive!
