Dear Dr. Pennington,
You and I began our doctor/patient relationship at the same time you launched your practice here in Bethesda. My first appointment with you was in November 1986. You detected signs of overactive liver enzymes in an otherwise uneventful blood work. Now here I am, probably outliving most other folks with a very serious condition, largely due to your knowledge, skills, expertise, perseverence and patience. I truly appreciate your taking on that important role in my life. I have no idea as to how this might have turned out otherwise. So thank you, and congratulations from me and my family for your commitment.
