A Wonderful Practitioner and Diagnostician
I had two my major health scares,. The first one, Doctor Kimberly Davis-Seagle (KDS) made an initial diagnosis of suspicious tiny nodules during a annual digital rectal exam. She refereed me to an urologist for further examination. The urologist examined me and commented that KDS "made a good catch" being as small as they were. It was prostate cancer and I was treated and cured which may not have happened if Doctor KDS had missed the nodules.
The second health scare involved my eye site. I started seeing an image in my left eye field of vision. I went to my board certified optometrist, who found nothing abnormal and recommended a follow-up if symptoms continued. Several days later, the image was still there so my wife called Doctor KDS and explained my situation. The doctor immediately contacted one of her ophthalmologist colleagues and stressed the urgency for him to see me immediately. He worked me in to his busy Friday afternoon schedule, conducted various test and made an initial diagnosis of Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA). He immediately admitted me to a local hospital to start steroid treatment until further testing could be preformed to confirm GCA. Without Doctor Davis-Seagle's cell phone accessibility, caring manner and decisive action there was the potential I would have gone blind with this aggressive disease.
We are so thankful that we are members of MDVIP and have doctor Davis-Seagle to watch over us. She truly cares about her patients and is such a wonderful diagnostician!
