We are not just a number to him

It is a pleasure to write and evaluate Dr. Philip Heinegg. Aka Dr Phil. My husband and I have been his patients for years. We used to live in Larchmont, but now live in Lakeville, CT in the NW corner of CT. We spend the winters in Palm Springs,CA. I hear horror stories about people trying to reach their MD. He is always available and gets back to us in minutes. My one remarkable story is that a few years ago I returned to Larchmont and had a terrible cough. I called and he ordered a cough medicine that had hydro condone in it. I jokingly said, “Are you trying to turn me into a drug addict?” I took 3 teaspoons of it and became so depressed. I usually don’t cry in front of anyone. I was sooooo depressed and suicidal. He came over to my apartment and assured me that it was the medicine. He brought me a beautiful book that I have read many times. He kept telling me that it was the medicine. I hate to think about it if he hadn’t been there for me. I have a friend who said that many in doctor’s office are tarantulas. That is not the case in his office. The staff is always on the ball. I can go on and on, but I will end by saying that he should be cloned. Who has access to their doctor 365 days a year and 24 hours a day. I know that we are not just a number to him.
