Way beyond expectation

I am an experienced lawyer who has spent a dozen years representing one of the states medical schools and served as a president of the hospital system for six years. Accordingly, I have a sophisticated understanding of the doctor-patient relationship and what is successful and what is not.

A recent experience with Dr. Rivera prompts me to share how she went above and beyond. Recently I was traveling on a family vacation in southern Virginia. I had a medical need and was concerned that it needed to be treated urgently. I sent Dr. Rivera an iPhone photo of the affected body part and got a phone call within 15 or 20 minutes. After being interviewed and diagnosed, Dr. Rivera was able to prescribe an antibiotic and I picked it up at a local pharmacy.

WOW. Her expertise was immediately available even in a remote location.

All of my regular office visits with Dr. Rivera have been handled with utmost professionalism as well as with excellent "bedside manner". The recent experience puts an! on those.
