The Very Best
For decades (I'm 76) I have had a mystery condition that presents as an acute viral illness that just won't go away. The flu-like symptoms persist sometimes for months and are severe enough to prevent me from having an active life. Over the years I have consulted many physicians, all of whom fall into two categories. Some didn't take my symptoms seriously; others, if they couldn't figure out a diagnosis by the second 10 minute office visit, lost interest. Not Dr. Tamayo. From the start of our association, Dr. T has taken my medical history very seriously. In addition to ordering a barrage of comprehensive tests, he has taken what I consider in today's medical world to be an amazing amount of time with me in the office and on the phone. He has even spent his own time researching on my behalf. It appears my condition is a complex blend of immune and auto-immune issues. Yet, Dr. T continues our quest for answers.
If this weren't enough, I have a unique rapport with Dr. Tamayo. His warmth, keen intelligence and perception, and great sense of humor have inspired my complete confidence in him as a physician and as a truly admirable person. Dr. T is at the top of A-list doctors, one who really means it when he says he cares. I have had many doctor/patient relationships over the years, am a retired Registered Nurse, and come from a multigenerational family of doctors. I am therefore a tough and discerning judge of today's physicians. The very best move I have made for my health has been to join Dr. Tamayo's fortunate group of patients.
