"Vascular Event"
I woke up early on a Sunday morning in Honolulu. I got out of bed, went to the bathroom, went back to bed and was checking my e-mail. Suddenly I had a sharp, intense pain, radiating from my left arm up into my neck. It hurt to breath. I texted Dr. Minton, who called back within a minute. I described my symptoms and Dr. Minton suggested I needed to go to the emergency room. I told him I would walk over to where my car was parked and go to the nearest emergency room. Dr. Minton suggested an ambulance would be more appropriate. I texted Dr. Minton when I was in the ambulance. Dr. Minton called immediately and he spoke with the EMTs. Based on the information they provided to him, he told them to take me to the nearest hospital. Dr. Minton followed my progress in the emergency room and stayed in touch with me. I am grateful for Dr. Minton's continued engagement and follow-up. Although it was not a "vascular event," a CT scan of my chest did turn up some information that requires further follow-up. After a couple of days of rest and follow-up with Dr. Minton I was able to enjoy the rest of my Hawaiian vacation. Dr. Minton is the same caring professional he has been since I met him in 1994. MDVIP has allowed Dr. Minton to focus on his patients and be readily available to us 24/7 no matter where in the world we are. Thank you Dr. Minton.
