Doctor West listens intently to my questions or concerns. His extensive knowledge and impressive network of colleagues make me feel that he is able to help with any issue that may develop. His open dialogue develops trust that together we will make the right health care decisions. His nurse and office staff are some of the best I have ever encountered.
However, it was his reaction during COVID that will keep me as his patient. He went out of his way to obtain vaccine when it was first released and hard to find. I had searched diligently trying to find a vaccine and was willing to drive to south Georgia for the first vaccine shot, when Dr. West's office called. They had the vaccine and would be working overtime to make sure all his patients had the opportunity to be vaccinated. He is the only doctor I know of that went to great such great lengths to take care of his patients. In that crisis, Dr. West went above and beyond caring for his patients. We won't know how many lives he saved as a result. Mine might be one of them.
