Too Many to Count
When MDVIP asks me to choose one moment when my doctor, Dr. Paul Coulombe has made a difference I have to chuckle. There are just far too many of them. He is the hardest working, most dedicated physician out there. He’s also one of the most compassionate ones. I’ll go ahead and mention the most recent big catch he made. After leaving my annual physical with the nurse, he was diligently reading my EKG before I’d even left the parking lot. He didn’t like what he saw, so he called me and asked if I could come back and get fitted for a Holter monitor. As his instincts and knowledge always prove to be correct, I was found to have second degree heart block. I definitely needed to get a pacemaker. At first, that was disappointing news (at my age) but I quickly realized that Dr. Coulombe had once again detected a very important problem with my health before it bloomed into something hugely detrimental for me. And isn’t that what MDVIP is all about?
