I returned from Indiana to Tennessee after a bicycle ride. I thought I was getting a bug as my throat was sore. Tried to do a race Saturday and really felt horrible. Took a shower and was broken out. Running a fever and didn’t sleep well. Called dr Schubert Sunday morning on his cell phone and met him at his office. He scheduled tests and when I came back Monday they were all negative. He didn’t know but retreated to his study. “It could be Rocky Mountain spotted fever “. It was! He put me immediately on antibiotics as I had a 60 percent mortality rate at my age. Tough but I survived. He saved my life!
