Through the Knothole

Dr. Mark Fleschler pulled me through the knothole after my heart surgery.

I'd had complications after my aortic valve and an aortic aneurysm were replaced by a single biograft (what I call a onesie). When I was released from the hospital I badly needed close outpatient followup.

Mark saw me through many, many rough days. He was always there to listen, to reassure, and to deftly calibrate my road to recovery.

Of course, my wife was the best home nurse. But she was better able to help me because Mark had reassured her too.
