Thanks to Dr. Smith
My husband was scheduled for hip replacement. Just two days before the surgery, the hospital Pre-op department suddenly sent a revised report to the surgeon mentioning the fact that he has a low heart rate and an extra, short heart beat every fourth time. Three years before, his cardiologist concluded that it was just normal for him and that my husband only needed to return if there was a problem. BUT, by Pre-op's sending the report two weeks late, there was not enough time to get the approval of the cardiologist. It was determined that a good EKG would suffice. I called Dr. Smith's office and the EKG was run the next morning and Dr. Smith reviewed it and sent over a report confirming that my husband is in excellent health and was a good candidate for the surgery. I appreciate that if I need something like that, I can call and it will be arranged. We are grateful for Dr. Smith's help.
