Thank you to Dr. Maria Blahey

Dr. Blahey has been my doctor for over 20 years. She has never steered me wrong. She shares latest medical findings in laymen terms when it pertains to my health.

I have many great examples for her but the following is the most recent.

I went to one of my other doctors the later part of October, 2023. One of the things I discussed with the doctor was the constant pain in my right hip. The doctor told me it was just part of aging and didn't order any testing. So I went about my business continuing to have pain. At times it caused me to limp because of pain.

In November I had a regular appointment with Dr. Blahey. I mentioned the hip. She asked me to try to do a couple of movements with my leg and/or hip. Because I am stubborn, I could do most movements but it was painful. She ordered an x-ray. Once she received the report, she ordered an MRI. She called me herself to give me the diagnosis. It was Osteonecrosis of right hip which led to a full hip replacement. She referred me to an excellent surgeon at the Fondren. I had the surgery in December,2023. Without Dr Blahey I might still be limping around. I'm constantly thankful for Dr. Blahey!
