Thank you, Dr. Hammer

I was dealing with scratchy pain in my eye for about three years, that was getting worse. I saw three different eye doctors. The last one suggested dry eye drops which I followed for two weeks, but still getting worse. When my husband and I signed up for MDVIP with our longtime family physician Dr. Hammer, I finally brought up the eye problem, since MDVIP included an eye exam. I also told Dr. Hammer about my longtime dream of art studying which I could not do before for other priorities, and now that I finally have the chance, I can not because it was painful to use my eye, along with back and neck pain for any extended amount of sitting and sketching at a table. But for Dr. Hammer there is no unsolvable problem, and never "oh that's part of normal aging" which I heard all too often from some others. He examined my eye, and said it was allergy. He prescribed three different antihistamines to try. The first I tried worked within the day, and that was that. For the other problem he helped me find some back and neck exercises on the MDVIP website, which I use when needed and it helps almost instantly. He also suggested getting a slanted drawing board to avoid the uncomfortable neck stretch.
Dr. Hammer is the true professional anyone could wish for. He is a doctor my husband and I trust for the best care possible.
Thanks to him, at age 70 I am learning to draw and it is true joy.
