Support I can count on

Dr. Christian LeFevre has been my physician since 2007. I've continued to rely on his care and advice even after moving out of the DC metropolitan area in 2017, to a town with a University-affiliated Medical School and hospital 110 miles away. The reasons I continue to rely on Dr. LeFevre are many: He is always available on short notice, whether the issue(s) turn out to be medically major or minor - we have developed a relationship where he knows that I won't trouble him for trivia, and if I call, it is important to me. We have mutual respect; I'm not a physician, but I am a biomedical scientist. Dr. LeFevre has never asked to "check my brain at the door;" instead, he welcomes dialogue to help him help me, knowing that I won't second-guess him on medical matters. Over the 17 years of this professional relationship, it has been enormously reassuring to know that, whether it is a phone consultation, an office visit, or a referral to a specialist, expert, understanding, and kind support are always available.
