SPOT ON!

I had just move to Fl, looked for an MVDIP doctor and had done a "Meet & Greet "with Dr. Gelvin. Soon after, I had painful symptoms that were moving fast through my body. I called his office and was told that first I needed to complete the forms they had given me. My husband took them to the office immediately and I was seen two days later. Dr. Gelvin said I needed to get some tests done but he was quite sure I had PMR and maybe GCA. He gave me a prescription for Prednisone. After the tests confirmed his diagnosis of a rare forms of Rheumatoid Arthritis and GCA which is more serious, he referred me to a good Rheumatologist. She said I probably avoided a worse case of both which can be life changing, even deadly by his quick and accurate actions. She also told me that I was one of her lucky patients because most doctors wouldn't have known what illness I had. Also, this was curable and to be patient because I would have to take meds for at least one year and I'd have side effects. Thank you Dr. Gelvin
