Spiritual and Emotional Healing

I've been having back problems for almost two years and have had several treatments from orthopedists and many hours of PT.. I finally had an SI joint fusion, At my last CT Scan - after 8 months of recuperation - the neurosurgeon who performed the surgery, told me it was not successful. A few weeks later, I went to see Dr. Rosenbaum for my Annual Physical, and told her my bad news. I was upset and depressed and on the verge of tears. She looked at me with empathy and said: "It's not fair!" She then reached out for me and gave me a long tight hug.
All the medical prescriptions she's written for me over the years, and all the excellent health care I've had from her, cannot compare to the Spiritual and Emotional Healing Power of that Hug! It continues to heal, because I keep re-living that momentI when I felt valued and cared for as a whole person.
