Snowbird with Shingles

Recently while snowbirding in Florida from St. Louis area, my wife was diagnosed with Shingles in her forehead and scalp area. Our primary care physician, Dr. Christine Sigman, in the St. Louis area was very concerned about Shingles getting in her eye and told us to see an optometrist immediately. She did and thankfully the Shingle virus never transitioned to the eye. Dr. Sigman called back several days to check on my wife's status. Those calls were very comforting to both my wife and me.
