Showing you really care.

When my husband passed away eight years ago I had an appointment with my doctor shortly thereafter. When he was questioning me about it I couldn’t answer because I would cry so I just shook my head yes or no to his questions. Even with doing that, a tear slid down my cheek anyway. He wanted me to go for grief counselling, but I just shook my head no because I really didn’t believe in that. Then he said “if you don’t want to do it for you, then do it for me so that I won’t worry about you”. That’s when I knew he was a doctor who really cared. Of course I said okay, he set it up, and it was the best thing I did. I’ll never forget how caring and compassionate he was.
