She left her appendix in Wyoming

Wife Carol and I were on a long-awaited trip from Cincinnati to the Pacific Coast Highway. After a very bad night in Buffalo, WY, we texted Dr. John Schroder the next morning. When we described her symptoms, he told us to get to the nearest town with a major hospital. By noon she was on the operating table at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. The next day, fortified by some major pain meds, we were back on the road (Jersey girls are tough, as are frontier docs). But without Dr. Schroder, more than our trip might have been lost. He is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and proactive about keeping us healthy. We trust and love our doctor.
