Sense of Humor and Care

At my first meeting with Dr. McNamara I was hoping he could do a miracle. I had chest pains for 20 years with three different surgeries that did nothing to alleviate any pain. So I went to ask him for anything that could help--maybe even some happy pills.

However, after checking me out, he told me that there was nothing wrong with me and that I should deal with the pain. I thought I was going to get some special treatment being a member of MDVIP, but I was surprised that he told me to just go home because there are other patients with more chronic pain. That was five years ago. I'm glad he was so direct with me because I did go home and through some yoga exercises I was able to stretch my chest and alleviate much of the pain.

Dr. McNamara, thank you for your expert care as well as your great sense of humor.
