Reassurance Abroad

For more than a decade, I've been travelling abroad professionally for extended periods, A number of years ago while in Peru, I was stricken with an episode of TGA - Transient Global Amnesia, and left unaware of dates, time, names, etc. My colleagues thought I had had a stroke, and my BP skyrocketed. I was admitted to a private clinic in Lima recommended by the U.S. Embassy. I asked the medical team to contact my MDVIP doctor, Karl Dannehl. Karl was in regular contact with the Peruvian medical staff every step of the way as I underwent numerous tests to pinpoint the problem. Fortunately, TGA usually corrects itself in a 12-hour period, but it was extremely reassuring to know that Karl was on top of the situation during a very stressful time.
