I would like to tell you why I dont think my doctor is super. Last October, I went for my yearly physical. Dr Lin suggested that I add another anti-depressant to the one I take called Ecitrolopram and I agreed. She did not explain the side effects to me and I had the prescription filled. After about 12 hours on this addition, I began to feel constipated and bloated. As I had experienced this before, years ago with a certain anti-depression medication, I threw the prescription away and called the office stating it. No response.
In January, 2024, I received a call from Dr Lin's medical assistant stating that Dr Lin wanted me to cut my 20mg Ecitrolopram in half. I asked why and she said she didnt know. I asked her to find out. She did and called me back. Dr Lin thought the dose was too high and wanted me to reduct it to 10mg. Curiosously, I did that and around the beginning of February, I began having bouts of depression and anxiety. During the time between the reduction and the onset of depression, Dr Lin never bothered to call to find out how I was doing on the lesser dose.
On February 26th, I called MDVIP and cancelled by automatic withdrawal and told them I no longer wanted to be a member. I called Dr Lin's office and cancelled all my upcoming appointments and told them that one time, she wants to add more anti-depression medicine and in a short time, wants me to decrease my dose. Which is it, I asked myself? Does she know whats she is doing?
I went back on 20mg of Ecitrolopram but I am still suffering from anxiety and depression which was caused by Dr Lin taking it upon herself to reduce my dose without an office visit to discuss it.
I have since, found another physician because going to Dr Lin's office makes me nauseous, period.
