Reaching Survivors

One of my most important connections is to my friends who work tireless with me as volunteers to raise money for Breast Cancer Research at Tulane Cancer Center. We are Krewe de Pink, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit who have been working for more than 10 years. Being a survivor of 3 cancers (thyroid, breast, and now 4 years into Lung) drives me to reach out for the positive we can do. It is all about research! When I signed up for MDVIP and became a patient of Dr. Patricia Estrada, I felt that I made a new friend. She even came with her staff to our fundraiser, Death by Chocolate NOT Breast Cancer.
