The rating of a first class doctor & a first class friend

Dr. Kivett & I first met on a ski trip to Colorado many years ago and became friends, despite our political differences .We've spent many good times together & several important lifetime events together.
I dread the day he retires from his practice & compels us to search around for another physician of his caliber. He takes all the time necessary to talk to his patients & discover their problems,diagnose the needs & treat them accordingly. He should have become a professor of medicine, because he goes to great lengths to insure his patients understand not only why they are being treated, but the mechanics of the body that are effected & the reasons for the specific treatment. He brings out charts to explain what he is discussing, making sure the patient understands exactly what's going on, before he releases them for the day. He routinely follows up with a phone call.
Now that's what I call a REAL doctor.
