One Saturday, working outside my house, I stepped on a roofing nail. The nail penetrated my shoe and my foot. Removing the nail then my shoe there was significant bleeding. I decided to contact Dr Garcia via the MDVIP Web Portal. Dr Garcia called me in about 15 minutes. He had already confirmed the date of my last tetanus shot and asked about the amount of bleeding. Satisfied with our discussion he felt there was no immediate danger and suggested I use an antiseptic cream and a bandage. He said if there was still pain on Monday I could come into the office. There wasn't and I didn't.
This was not a life threatening event by any means but it illustrates what I want and receive in the way of medical assistance from my doctor.
