In Praise of Doctor Ross Osborn

And...this is what Medical Care should look like! Dr. Osborn is a rare breed! Compassionate, empathetic, skilled, attentive and a great listener. There are so many moments (during the past 8 years under his care) that have been remarkable and very significant to my husband and to me. In 2019, during a routine exam, Doctor Osborn heard something in my husband's heart that he thought was worthy of further consult. That ONE act led to a life-saving procedure that now leaves my husband if great physical condition. Would you call that worthy of mentioning? Absolutely! My medical challenges have been somewhat more complex, but each time I 'hit a bump', Dr. Osborn listened and made recommendations or referrals that were in my best interest and he goes to all lengths to problem solve our medical problems and to secure the best of care for both of us. Through the past 8 years, struggling with my weight, Dr. "O" (as we affectionately call him) always was supportive (w/o judgement) and guided me until I reached a huge milestone and, someone actually called me "PETITE" the other day! He continues to applaud my success and that's very meaningful for me! Would you call that memorable? I definitely would! Dr. "O's" generosity is referring us to his colleagues continues to be remarkable! His listening skills are acute, his medical connections are limitless and that's so very important when we can't problem solve alone. He is always welcoming and, somehow, has the ability to make me feel like his only patient. Memorable!! And, oh so very important! On another occasion, I was suffering with undetermined headaches. That led Dr. O to ordering a number of test which ultimately led to the discovery of a benign brain tumor which has been treated successfully. Memorable! Wow!! He solved a problem BEFORE it became serious because he LISTENED, because he ACTED, because he CARED and because he ran tests and because he referred me to a Neurosurgeon - Memorable? I would definitely say YES!! We avoided an inevitable brain surgery!! Memorable... and life saving again!!! He's always set the bar so high! Dr. "O" brings back my faith in medicine. As the world of medicine has changed drastically and personal, medically intimate and close relationships with your physicians are just memories of the past...well, Dr. "O" has restored our faith in medicine! THANK YOU Dr. "O"! Thank you for putting up with all the additional administrative paperwork, for sharing your candid and professional opinions with us and for your continuing follow through concerning our well-being.
