A physician totally dedicated to his patiets.

My wife and I joined Dr.Shapiro's practice over 15 years ago at age 73 and 75 respectively. Prior to that we were patients at a concierge practice of well known single practitioner in West Palm Beach. This physician did not accept Medicare assignments and insisted on annual check-ups at high fees in addition to the annual "concierge" fee, none covered by insurance. He never took calls and rarely spent more than 20 minutes on examinations. Despite his reputation as one of the best internists in the area he failed to detect my wife's thyroid cancer and my artery problems This resulted in me having to go for treatment at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston and my wife having thyroid surgery at Jackson Memorial in Miami after consultations with other doctors. When MDVIP opened in Florida we checked the list of participating physicians. We visited Dr.Shapiro and found his attitude and approach to treating patients in startling contrast to that of our physician. We were impressed with his easygoing, friendly personality and decided to join his MDVIP practice. Over the years we had a number of health issues which Dr.Shapiro addressed with competence and made sure the problems were treated properly. His response is personal and immediate and he will take as much time as needed to discuss any concern one may have about a health issue. It would be hard to find a more caring and dedicated physician than Dr.Shapiro. We are grateful to have him look after this couple now aged 90+ years and hope he will continue doing so for the next 10 years.
