Physician that is like family!

29 years ago, my husband and I moved to NJ and felt lucky to have found a doctor that we adored. That doctor had to leave his practice and we had that overwhelming feeling of dread when you have to search for a new general internist after someone has known you for so long. Dr. Sofia Shapiro took over that practice, and it was seamless. She immediately jumped in as if she had known us forever. She took the time to read our medical history, but even more importantly took the time to know who WE were. As our two children outgrew their pediatrician, Dr. Shapiro took them into the practice whenever an emergency came up no questions asked. When we call or walk into the office, it feels comfortable, and you feel like family. Dr. Shapiro always has a smile on her face, listens intently, and always has thoughtful and insightful knowledge on your condition. There is not one story in particular that calls out because every single time we reach out to Dr. Shapiro's office we are met with kindness and consideration. It does not matter whether the context is a common cold or something more serious. Dr. Shapiro and the MDVIP practice is ready to help. The old saying "you get what you pay for" is not always true. In this case, having Dr. Shapiro and staff in our corner is... priceless! To Dr. Shapiro and Staff: The Schwartzies love you!
