Our journey with Dr. John Borders
My husband and I both began our journey with Dr. Borders in the 1990’s and I see him still. My husband passed away last November after a long history of cardiac issues. The moment we knew how wonderful Dr. Borders is was April, 1995 when Mel had his first myocardial infarction. Although our cardiologist was attentive and knowledgeable, it was Dr. Borders who visited daily, reassured us and explained what had happened and the subsequent treatment. He became more than just a doctor, he became a very trusted family friend. Since 1995, with Dr. Borders’s encouragement and medical guidance Mel quit smoking, lost weight, exercised routinely and improved his diet. He survived 6 cardiac arrests, but could not overcome his seventh in November, 2023. Our entire family is grateful to Dr. Borders for helping Mel (and me) stay informed about good health and how to achieve a longer life.
