A New Beginning

My story is just beginning with Dr. Leonardo A. Gan-Lim, M.D. I cannot begin to express how fortunate I feel as one of his patients. My first appointment was May 9, 2023 at 10:30am. It was an "OMG" what is this! Imagine an initial new patient appointment scheduled for 90 minutes! Just me and my new doc (I decided two minutes into the conversation that this was it.) An Internal Medicine doctor, and my primary care doctor, was talking to me and encouraging answers. He listens and looks at you, not at his computer. I have reached that wonderful age when "things start to happen" that are really annoying and a little scary. He is on top of everything. One sibling had recent heart issues in Seattle...our family has a history of minimal to no symptoms until it's too late. When I was talking to Dr. Gan-Lim in November 2023, and explaining what happened to my younger brother, he was writing up tests to be done and scheduling appointments. I am happy to report that what got my younger brother in trouble, did not appear in any of my scheduled tests.
I have told my friends that if they are tired of computer doctors, they should walk, not run, to my doctor's office.
