National Doctors Day
Fortunately for me I have not had an issue that is what may be termed as earth shattering or life threating.in an emergency situation. However, the one serious
issue was the diagnoses of prostate cancer. This was troublesome for me in as much that there were options, and I was not able to intelligently make a decision. the referral doctor from urology was excellent as a provider but alien to me for several reasons that made me nervous using this source as a guidance. So back to the subject of Dr Mikos. My wife and I were invited to his office for consultation, and he spent a considerable amount of time explaining the pros and cons of the several option available to be. He and I agreed on one. That was 10 years or so ago and I am still cancer free. He is one of the two most important people in my life. That makes him my choice of Doctor of the century. A century I have enjoyed 83 years of. He has been my personal Physician for almost 30 years, and he has been excellent in both his professional and personal relationship with me. Even before the MDVIP membership I was always given the very best effort to see me when i had the need for medical attention. His professional knowledge and his street-smart knowledge is how he treats me. I could not be more pleased. And in closing it would be terribly remiss of me not to mention the staff. They are a reflection of him and an extension of his values in patient care. I am sure there will be stories more exciting and probably more in line with lifesaving then what I have written. I am glad for all the health care providers out there, and all they do and the sacrifices they make each day, But I would not wish to have anyone other than Stephen Mikos on my team. I am not in a great financial place so i have to make sacrifices to keep up my membership and that tells him and me how important he is to me. I drive 2 hours to an appointment and probably am within 15 or 20 minutes to another MDVIP location, but I will always stay with Dr Mikos as long as I live and he continues to practice
