My doctor saved my life

In 2018, I experienced heartburn and ended up in the ER. I reached out to my doctor. Scott Shapiro, so he could know what was happening. I shared with him that the hospital staff said I had a heart attack and that I would be kept over the weekend, and undergo further tests on Monday.

Fortunately, this was not acceptable to Dr. Shapiro. He arranged for my transportation to another hospital, and persuaded a colleague to examine me for a blockage very late in the day.

I ended up needing a Stent since my LAD was nearly completely blocked. I probably would not have survived if he hadn't intervened.
