My Dad.....

When my 93 year old Dad was recovering from Colon Cancer surgery we met Dr Scott Hammer. As we were leaving his office my Dad turned to me and said "I've been going to Doctors for 90 years and when I finally find one that I like he looks 30 years old and has a pony tail". The most memorable moment occured a couple of years later as the cancer had metastasized and was now in his liver. Dr. Hammer came to our home and when I went into Dad's room Dr. Hammer was on his knees on the floor talking very much like a long time friend to this frail 95 year old bed bound man and you could see the trust and admiration in Dad's eyes.
As many times as my family has met with Dr Hammer this moment is enblazoned on my heart forever.....
