My 5'4" Sergeant, Kacey Durant
Kacey was my sister's doctor when she died. I wasn't a patient at the time. My primary care doctor at Renown was incredibly difficult to access. With that frustration we contacted Kacey's practice. With our initial contact there was a question whether she could take a new patient until my wife dropped my sister's name and the office staff and Kacey made room for me. In one of my first visits, Kacey asked if I had my pneumonia vaccine. I told her I really wasn't interested. She explained to me the importance of the vaccine. I walked out of her office with a pneumonia vaccine. In a subsequent visit same process, Kacey asked if I had a Shingles vaccine. I told her I really wasn't interested. She explained to me the importance of the vaccine. I subsequently received my Shingles vaccine. I have intermittent bouts of gout which Kacey was incredibly concerned with. Again, I was stubborn and didn't take her advice immediately. I started talking allopurinol after my last gout attack and it has really helped. I tell people I have this 5'4" woman bossing me around. She has done a great job. I'm older and don't want to believe I need what I need. She is incredibly patient with my stubbornness and is able to explain the benefits of her recommendations.
