A Much Needed Safe Haven

Dr. Susanna Thach has provided a very needed security blanket for Dorothy and I, as at our age, we need to know and experience someone who knows our medical history and addresses all of our needs. This is in contrast to what we previously had, which was a hospital primary care service with constantly rotating different resident doctors which were not well informed of our previous medical history.
Dr. Thach provides this consistency in our lives and her attentiveness to our questions and concerns is remarkable for us and much needed in the stage of our lives. Knowing that she is there to address any issues on an immediate basis provides comfort for us. Previously, with our former primary care practice, a call would require a wait of months to get an appointment, or at the very best, a few weeks with yet another different resident doctor with no knowledge of our history.
As an example, Dorothy recently had a problem when urinating with a suspicion of a UTI infection, while we were in Florida. One phone call to Dr. Thach’s office provided her guidance with specific instructions as to what to do. Dorothy went to the Urgicare facility proposed by Dr. Thach, had the UTI confirmed and had a prescription filled to resolve the problem. This immediate advice and care is what gives us the comfort in knowing that our issues can be resolved by a caring physician who knows us. We can only hope that Dr. Thach continues with her practice and that we are part of her family going forward.
