Long Distance Medical Assistance
It is difficult to write about Dr. David Borchers without using all superlatives. As a kicking and screaming transplant from New York, I choose to live in Colorado for two reasons: 1. my devoted son has a home here; and 2. I have Dr. Borchers as my primary. It is easy for me to pick out a moment when Dr. Borchers excelled beyond anyone's wildest hope. I thought I would live part-time in Colorado and part-time in Connecticut. While in Connecticut, I became terribly ill and had to be hospitalized not once but twice. The doctors there were unsure as to what was going on ... and then my hero, Dr. Borchers, became my medical quarterback to figure out what was happening. I cannot emphasize too strongly what it meant to me to know that even though I was thousands of miles away, I had Dr. Borchers not just on my team but leading me out of some medical horrific mishap. I was told that I nearly died so it is easy to relate and understand that not only my physical health was jeopardized but my emotional well-being plummeted as a result of this trauma. Words fail to describe how comforted I became when Dr. Borchers got involved. If I described my experience deeper, it would sound like mere hyperbole; something it most assuredly is not.
