A Little Thing goes a long way

Doc Bird and I go way back in time. He has known me as the guy who rides bicycles and runs trails throughout Colorado. Our Saturday running group picks a different single-path trail each week for a run which normally lasts ninety minutes. In the fall of 2023we chose a trail outside of Divide, Colorado. Running alongside a three-wire-barbed fence I stumbled and as I was recovering my balance, I raked the back of my left hand over several feet of the fence. My friends took one look with plenty of blood flowing, and recommended I return home for some care. Enter Doc Bird. He got me in that day and patched me up. No step for a stepper like Doc Bird. What stands out is the individual care. He knows me and I know him. That is worth plenty in my book.
