A listening ear and a listening heart ❤️

Dr. Syed is truly a blessing to me. Since I’m a ‘senior citizen’, I’m genuinely hoping Dr Syed will be my Dr throughout my final journey home (which is probably many years from now).😊

I first met her when accompanying a friend, who was her patient, for some appointments. When I experienced how she treated my friend, I really wanted her to be my primary care…but i needed to go on a waiting list. i was anxiously waiting for ‘the call’! I felt like I hit the lotto the day I received the call that she had room for me in her practice! 🎉🎁

When I had my initial appointment with Dr Syed, I couldn’t believe all the time she devoted to that session. She really showed care for me as a whole person and actively listened to me.

Every time we’ve met since, she understands concerns I express about treatments or medications and helps me fully weigh options, etc. without ever making me feel like a problem child.

One particular example this past year had to do with my serious concern about trying a new medication to lower my LDL. I was especially concerned about adverse side effects. She patiently took me through the latest info and even discussed my concerns (with my approval) with the pharmaceutical rep. I continued to ponder and ultimately made the decision to ‘go for it’.

Knowing that Dr Syed was TRULY just a phone call away, gave the reassurance I needed to charge ahead. She never once pressured me or ‘gave up’ on me. In fact, when I leave her office, I feel like I’ve just spent time with a brilliant doctor who listened to me with her ears and heart and who is a beautiful voice of encouragement. I am blessed to have Dr Syed for my doctor.
