Life saver
Back in the 1990s, I was making annual trips to Moscow, Russia to work in the military attache office in our embassy. Each year, before I left on my trip, I would make an appointment to see Dr David Leichtling to get a lab slip to use after my return from the trip. At the time of at least one of my trips, my blood sugar was very high. Dr Leichtling added two blood tests to my lab slip - Adult growth hormone and insulin growth factor. After my return, the blood test results showed very high levels of adult growth hormone being be secreted by my pituitary gland. That diagnosis and the way it was handled undoubtedly saved my life. I am now in my mid 80s and get an injection in my gluteus maximus every four weeks to control my adult growth hormone, which helps to keep my blood sugar levels under control. With gratitude to Dr Leichtling.
