A Knowing Smile

I've been a patient of Dr. Matsuda for many years. Because of my medical background as an neonatal nurse practitioner, I have a fairly good understanding of what needs to be done when I need care. Most recently, I called his office at 2:00pm and was seen around an hour and half later. Dr. Matsuda ordered the appropriate tests, including a chest x-ray and treatment began that day as I had a case of pneumonia. It's not only his competence that I admire, it's his sly sense of humor. Many years ago, I found a lump in a no-lump zone. As we were discussing my options, I asked Dr. Matsuda what would happen if I just let it alone. He smiled, and said "Welllllllll." Which is often his response when I ask him something off the wall. Dr. Matsuda is a warm and caring physician and I feel lucky I found him.
