Just People

I know that doctors are not just there to complain about health concerns. They are also human beings, just people like me. There was this moment when I recognized this doctors' humanity and his unmitigated willingness to care for others.
This struck me when we were comparing the accuracy of our respective blood pressure cuffs; I have my own. Initially, it appeared that we needed to synchronize them and in so doing, discovered that they were already in sync. It was a moment of discovery that we shared. There was this sense of comradery in knowing we were both on the same page, down to the smallest of details, when it comes to my good health and well-being.....how comforting.
